When they say exciting dining – Fireroom is the first that pops to mind. Upon their introduction in the city’s dining scene, they have literally set the place on fire. Situated in the stylish and casino hub of Jo’burg – Monte Casino, you are not only in for a unique dining experience but also great food!
Their signature sushi dishes are like none you have ever seen before. There are endless sushi options, infused with fresh ingredients and the most beautiful plating styles – your mouth will water at the first glance.
Unique to Fireroom (as the names suggests) is the sushi-on-fire experience. With certain sushi platters / dishes when delivered to your table, the waiter will set them alight. A certain ‘wow’ moment and I’m guessing adds to the taste too!

This is just the beginning! Their menu suits most palettes and is made to ensure that you get the best value for your time and money spent at their restaurant. Options include succulent starters, soups of the day, salads, Poke Bowls, Dim Sum, Poultry and meat options and even oysters – there isn’t a dish you won’t find that’s perfect for you.
For the meat lovers, a must try is the mammoth 850g Tomahawk steak, which is flamed to perfection, tableside. Another gourmet moment that you won’t get elsewhere. There sushi list is quite extensive and leaves you hard of choice but a definite for any sushi enthusiast.

At the end of a magnificent feast, if you’re still fired up for more you have to try their Strawberry Nutella Pancake. These are Homemade pancakes, Nutella, mascarpone cheese, fresh strawberries which are flamed with cognac at your table.
The fire is there to entice and grab your attention, but once you taste the actual dish, you are left wanting more, it doesn’t disappoint. Along with flaming food, there are also flaming drinks. Choose from their extensive wine list, artisanal cocktails, craft beers and even bubbly by the glass.
From walking into the restaurant, meeting the staff and tasting the food – it is clear that the Fireroom prides itself in panache and flair. You are made to feel like you belong at the table with very important people.
